A Strong Academic and Professional Foundation
Dr. Park earned his Doctorate in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2004, building on his academic foundation with a Bachelor of Science degree from Augustana College. A specialist in intricate contact lens cases, including keratoconus and dry eye, as well as the management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, and pediatric and geriatric care, Dr. Park exemplifies the kind of personalized, results-driven care that defines The Eye Care Center LTD.
A New Chapter After 20 Years of Service
Dr. Park joins The Eye Care Center LTD after two decades of working alongside his father and sister in North Aurora. While his father had already established a successful practice, Dr. Park is grateful for the opportunity to help it grow and reach new levels. Reflecting on this transition, he expresses sincere appreciation for the support of his family, particularly his father, whose guidance has deeply influenced his commitment to patient care and service. “Leaving this chapter of my career is bittersweet. I’m thankful for the chance to have contributed to the practice’s growth alongside my father, and for the values he instilled in me. Their encouragement means everything as I take on this exciting new opportunity.”
Leadership and Community Contributions
Beyond his clinical expertise, Dr. Park is a leader in the optometric community. He is a past president of the Lions Club of North Aurora and an active member of the Fox Valley Optometric Association, Illinois Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association. He has also served in leadership roles, including as Clinic Director at Provena Mercy Medical Center’s Diabetes Wellness Center and on the advisory board for TLC Westchester Chicagoland Laser Eye Centers.
A Champion Both Professionally and Personally
Dr. Park’s passion for excellence extends into his personal life. A Black Belt with over 15 years of experience in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, he has earned multiple medals in prestigious tournaments such as NAGA and IBJJF and has competed in high-profile events like Fight to Win Superfights. This disciplined, goal-oriented approach translates seamlessly into his commitment to delivering exceptional eye care.
